Tour Details

Just the whales, back by early afternoon. This half-day trip from Punta Cana takes you by catamaran into Samaná Bay during humpback season, mid-January to mid-April.

Ride by A/C bus to Las Cañitas and board the catamaran to the whale sanctuary, where humpbacks up to 15 meters long come every winter to mate and give birth. Taíno cave paintings in nearby Los Haitises show that whales have wintered here for centuries.

Back at Las Cañitas there's a coffee break before the bus ride home, with arrival at your hotel around 2:00 PM.

About 6–7 hours with round-trip hotel transport. Adults $120, kids 3–12 $60, and free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
